BJS Finances LLC ("BJS Finances," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting personal information collected through the Payday Loans: BJS Finances (the "App").

This Privacy Policy explains what data the App gathers, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and what choices you may have when you download, install, register for, or otherwise use Payday Loans: BJS Finances through the Apple App Store.

This policy applies specifically to the Payday Loans: BJS Finances. Use of bjsfinances.com is covered separately by our website Privacy Policy. If you are sent to a lender, marketplace, or other financial provider outside the App, that organization's own privacy rules apply to what happens there.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy covers the Payday Loans: BJS Finances, in-app account creation and sign-in, in-app loan search and matching features, and support or service communications you initiate through the App.

It does not govern third-party websites, lender portals, or external applications you reach after tapping a referral or continuing toward an offer. We encourage you to read those parties' privacy policies before submitting sensitive information to them.

2. Information We Collect

The categories of information we handle depend on how you use the App.

Identity and contact details. You may voluntarily provide your legal name, date of birth, email address, phone number, mailing address, ZIP code, and state of residence. Date of birth helps us confirm that you meet age and eligibility requirements for the Service.

Financial and eligibility details. To help match you with participating providers, the App may collect information such as the amount you wish to borrow, your stated borrowing purpose, employment status, employer or occupation, income source, approximate monthly income, pay frequency, housing status, and general banking preferences—for example, your bank name, account type (checking or savings), and whether you typically receive income by direct deposit. For these matching purposes we do not collect full bank account numbers, routing numbers, or online banking login credentials through the App.

When you move forward with a partner provider's application flow, that provider may request additional underwriting information such as a Social Security number, full bank account details, or identity documents. That information may be collected directly by the provider or transmitted to them at your direction.

Device and technical data. The App may automatically record device model, device type, iOS version, App version and build number, language and region settings, IP address, and device identifiers where applicable, along with metadata related to authentication tokens.

Usage and analytics data. We may log how you interact with the App, including launches, screens viewed, features used, session length, navigation paths, referral selections, and conversion-related events that help us understand whether the matching experience is working as intended.

Diagnostic and performance data. We may collect crash reports, error logs, latency measurements, and other technical diagnostics needed to troubleshoot problems and keep the App stable.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not request GPS or precise location data, access to your contacts, photo library, camera, or microphone, health or fitness information, biometric identifiers, or motion or sensor data beyond what is needed for basic device functionality. We do not continuously track your physical location. State eligibility is generally inferred from the ZIP code or state you enter voluntarily.

4. How We Use Information

We use App data to operate BJS Finances' search and matching features, identify providers whose published criteria may fit the profile you submitted, display relevant product information, create and maintain your account, authenticate returning users, save your progress, and personalize the in-app experience where appropriate.

We also use contact information to send transactional emails, service notifications, match-related updates, account notices, and responses to support requests. Where you have given appropriate consent, we may send SMS notifications. If we send marketing or promotional texts that may be subject to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), we obtain any legally required prior express written consent before sending autodialed or prerecorded marketing messages. Consent to marketing texts is not required to use the App's core matching features where prohibited by law. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing SMS by following instructions in the message (such as replying STOP) or by emailing [email protected].

Usage, analytics, and diagnostic information help us improve onboarding, refine matching flows, measure performance, fix bugs, and make features more reliable. We also process information to detect suspicious activity, investigate fraud, protect the integrity of the Service, comply with law, maintain required records, and respond to lawful requests or disputes.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information collected through the App for monetary compensation.

If you choose to proceed with a lender or marketplace, we may share relevant contact, profile, eligibility, and application-related details with that provider so they can evaluate your request. Information is shared only in connection with services you request or application steps you initiate.

We may also disclose information to vendors that help us run the App—such as cloud hosting, analytics, push notifications, authentication, fraud prevention, and customer support tools—under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing services to us.

We may release information when required by subpoena, court order, lawful government or regulatory request, fraud investigation, or matters involving public safety. If BJS Finances is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction subject to protections consistent with this policy.

6. Apple App Tracking Transparency

Payday Loans: BJS Finances does not currently engage in cross-app or cross-site tracking for targeted advertising. Because we do not perform tracking activities that require authorization under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, the App does not currently request ATT permission. If our practices change, we will update this policy and implement any required consent flows before doing so.

7. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect App data, including encrypted transmission (such as TLS), encryption at rest where applicable, secured API communication, role-based access controls, authentication protections, and monitoring systems. Authentication tokens stored on your iOS device may be kept in Apple's Keychain services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for account maintenance, user support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. Account profiles and match-related history are generally kept while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward, typically up to thirty-six months after your last meaningful activity, unless a longer period is required by law. Aggregated or de-identified analytics may be retained longer.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain processing activities.

You may request account deletion through the App by going to Menu → Account → Delete Account, or by emailing [email protected]. For access or correction requests, email [email protected] with the subject line Privacy Request. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

You can disable push notifications at any time through iOS Settings → Notifications → Payday Loans: BJS Finances.

10. California Privacy Rights

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing that may be classified as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law.

California residents may submit verifiable consumer requests by emailing [email protected] with the subject line California Privacy Request. We will respond as required by applicable California law.

11. Colorado Privacy Rights

If you are a Colorado resident, the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) may grant you rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and to opt out of processing for targeted advertising, certain sales, or profiling in particular contexts where those rights apply.

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws—including, where applicable, Virginia, Texas, Connecticut, and others with similar statutes—may use the same email contact with an appropriate subject line.

12. Children's Privacy

The App is intended only for adults who are at least eighteen years old and U.S. residents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. Date of birth may be requested to verify eligibility. If we learn that information was submitted by a minor, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

13. State Availability

BJS Finances is intended for eligible residents in supported U.S. states. The Service is not currently available in New York. Which providers or product types appear in the App may vary by state, provider policy, and applicable regulation.

14. International Users

The App is designed for users in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Revised versions will be made available within the App or through other reasonable means, and the effective date above will be updated. Material changes may also be communicated through in-app notices or email where appropriate.
